My friend Carl Mole recently introduced me to the world of 3D scanning. This is a scan of a small (17cm in height) carved-stone head that I found in Linthorpe in the 1980’s.

Any idea on the source? Looks African?
No idea Chris, I found it in a garden, the patina implies age but other than that….?
Oh wow – WHAT a difference that makes to an otherwise flat image. What a find too. I recently bought a sort of Folk Art head carving for the next Fair we do, and it has much in common with this little head.
thanks

Not the pub John, although I did spend a significant portion of my youth in there
