I was due to meet my family in Middlesbrough, I arrived early and wandered into Albert Park. I probably haven’t been into the park since I left Middlesbrough twenty years ago. Seeing the sundial brought back long forgotten memories. As a child I was fascinated by the Victorian sundial, it was my favourite thing in the park. I didn’t have a clue how it worked but it had New York Time written on the face, for me it was an object of glamour and mystery.
