The natural formation of the beach at Redcar and Saltburn affords excellent facilities for good and safe sea bathing. The shore is smooth and sandy, devoid of angular or rocky projections, and passes so gradually into the sea that children may bathe without the least risk of accident : the water is also clear and pure. The bathing at Redcar and Saltburn (and particularly at Redcar) is equal and perhaps superior to that at any sea side health resort in England.
