AN INFLUENTIAL songwriter, who drew on the beauties of industrial Teesside, has passed away.
Nationally-acclaimed Middlesbrough songwriter Clive Graeme Miles has died at the age of 77.
Mr Miles, who during his career worked alongside British folk singer Ewan McColl, was recognised for his work by the English Folk Dance and Song Society last year.
Knowledge of his songs spread during the 1960s after he worked alongside McColl and American folk singer Peggy Seeger in the widely acclaimed Radio Ballads.
